Valley Community Church is hosting Giving Hope ‘23.

It will be held on December 16 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. The church is located at 1215 Julian R. Allsbrook Highway in Weldon.

At the event the church will give away toys, a Bible, a toiletries bag and pillow for each child.

The event will be a Christmas shopping mall experience where selected families in need can come to receive Christmas gifts and “experience the hope of Jesus,” the church said.

Parents will shop for their fifth-grade and under children personally and have the gifts wrapped by the church’s team.

Children will have a Christmas experience of their own which includes music, snacks and the Christmas story. Families will also have the opportunity to pray with Valley’s ministry team.

“Giving Hope is about giving children more than just a gift under the tree. By sharing the love of Jesus with them, we are giving them the lifelong gift of hope,” Executive Pastor Bruce Collier said.
