The annual Veterans Day service at Veterans Park in Roanoke Rapids will be held November 12 at 3 p.m.  

“We invite our entire community to join us in honoring our veterans throughout the Roanoke Valley,” said organizer Jean Reaves. ‘We also want to thank our community for the respect given to our local veterans.”

Bleachers will be provided but lawn chairs are welcome as well.

The Center for Energy Education and the American Legion Shaw-May Post 38 plan Veterans Day tributes.

C4EE welcomes veterans, elected officials, community leaders and the public to a free Veterans Day program on November 9 at 460 Airport Road in Roanoke Rapids to recognize the roles of these individuals for their service to the country. 

The event is free and open to the public and will be held from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.,

The American Legion will host a Veterans Day celebration on November 11 beginning at 11 a.m. at the legion post 38 building located at 717 American Legion Road in Roanoke Rapids.
