The Halifax County Sheriff’s Office is investigating an armed robbery which occurred Wednesday around 10 p.m

The suspects left with an undisclosed amount of money along with cigarettes.

Captain Scott Hall said the heist occurred at Dollar General in the 4000 block of Highway 158 just outside Roanoke Rapids.

The suspects have been described as Black males in their late teens or early 20s — both wearing hooded clothing and one appearing to wear a white T-shirt around his face while the other wore a face mask.

They entered the store and demanded money from the clerk and left traveling towards Littleton in an unknown type of passenger vehicle.
