The Sisters Support Group will hold its annual walk and plate sale on October 7 at the Doe Spun building in Hollister.

Proceeds will benefit cancer patients in the community.

Chicken plates will be sold for $10 which includes a half chicken, two vegetables and bread. The plates will be ready between noon to 4 p.m.

The cancer walk registration fee is $5 and registration starts at 11 a.m. with the walk starting at noon.

There will be a small number of extra plates not sold so pre-ordering is encouraged.
