A woman was stabbed and another was charged this morning following a domestic dispute in the 800 block of Raleigh Street, according to the Roanoke Rapids Department.
A call came in shortly before 5:30 and C Squad officers learned a woman was stabbed numerous times in the chest and transported to ECU North. She is in stable condition, Chief Shane Guyant said.

Detective S. Bryant charged Sabrina Nicole Carr, 28, with attempted murder and child abuse since her child was present at the time of the stabbing.
Guyant said the department of social services was called and the agency initiated temporary placement with family members.
Carr received a $400,000 secured bond and September 28 district court date.
As of this report Carr was still incarcerated in the Halifax County Detention Center.
