Halifax County Schools hosted an evening honoring academic excellence and celebrating student achievement.

The Crème de la Crème event served as a testament to the hard work and the dedication of the district’s students, the school system said.

Board Chair Tyus S. Few expressed pride in the students’ accomplishments and spoke of the importance of education and “how the district is committed to providing a nurturing environment.”

Throughout the evening, students were recognized for outstanding academic achievements, citizenship, improvement, and overall scholars.

Each student received a trophy of achievement, presented by their principal.

Families were invited to attend the event.

“I am delighted to have been able to address our students, parents, and staff during this celebration of academic achievement,” Superintendent Eric Cunningham said. “Their hard work and dedication have yielded positive results, and we are all proud of your accomplishments. Remember, with determination and perseverance, anything is possible. Congratulations to each of you for this well-deserved recognition of your academic success.”
