Margarette Cipriano, a senior at Roanoke Rapids Early College High School, and Brandall Coggins, a senior at Roanoke Rapids High School, were awarded the State Employees' Credit Union People Helping People Scholarship. 

The scholarship will cover up to $10,000 of each student's undergraduate education. 

The SECU Foundation established the People Helping People scholarship program to assist students across North Carolina with their educational goals. 

Since being established, the scholarship program represents an annual commitment of over $5 million, with a collective total of over $81 million since the initial scholarship funding began in 2005.
