Two Vance County men are wanted in the November 1, 2022 theft of 1,110 gallons of diesel fuel from the Highway 158 New Dixie Mart in Roanoke Rapids.

Lieutenant Shane Guyant of the Halifax County Sheriff’s Office said the fuel stolen was worth $5,159.

Similar stores in Brunswick County, Virginia have also been robbed of diesel fuel.

In the Roanoke Rapids theft Luis Angel Guitierrez and Baldemar Isidro reportedly used a white pickup pulling a trailer with a tank to steal the fuel by activating the pump with an electronic device.

Detective Sergeant J. Pignanello learned that the truck was occupied by two men who, after a month-long investigation, were identified as Guitierrez, 29, and Isidro, 24. Both men are from Henderson.

Through investigation Pignanello learned that two other stores in Brunswick County had similar larcenies. “The Halifax County Sheriff’s Office is appreciative of the information shared with us by the Brunswick County, Virginia Sheriff’s Office,” Guyant said.

Both reputed suspects are described as Hispanic males who have past records in North Carolina and Virginia.

Guitierrez, who stands 5-feet, 5-inches tall and weighs approximately 150 pounds, had a last known address of Peter Gill Road in Henderson. He also has outstanding warrants in Northampton County.

Isidro, who stands 6-feet tall and weighs approximately 200 pounds, had a last known address of Ads New Lane Lot in Kittrell.
