More than $250 worth of liquor was stolen from the Weldon ABC store shortly before midnight Monday.

Weldon police Chief Christopher Davis said Sergeant T. Mason responded to the business located off West Third Street following a glass-break alarm.

Mason observed the front-door glass had been knocked out by a cinder block.

The suspect left the store on foot and was heading east toward Washington Avenue.
