Halifax County Schools has been awarded a Blue Ribbon for outstanding public relations and communications accomplishments from the North Carolina School Public Information Association. 

This honor recognizes exemplary efforts made by the district in communication and messaging with stakeholders. 

HCS will be honored during their Blue Ribbon Awards Ceremony on February 11.

Superintendent Eric Cunningham said, “I am very proud that we are being recognized for this accomplishment. Our team strives to communicate with all of our stakeholders using various platforms. I am proud of our efforts to share the Halifax way. Effective communication keeps everyone informed.” 

Darian Pressley, the system’s public information officer, said, “I am very excited that we are receiving this prestigious award. We are very proud of our work and will continue to keep our community informed.”

The NCSPRA Blue Ribbon Awards program is the highest honor in the state for recognizing the work of professionals in the school public relations/communications field. 

The NCSPRA seeks to promote excellence and professionalism in school communications and public relations through the Blue Ribbon Awards program.
