The Weldon Police Department in partnership with Toys for Tots and Weldon City Schools began a raffle today for four flat screen televisions and eight bicycles.

The items were donated by the Walmart Distribution Center in Sutherland, Virginia.

Those who stop by the police department at 111 Washington Avenue will receive one free ticket between the hours of 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.

The drawing for the items will be on December 10 at 2 p.m. and will be broadcast live via the department’s Facebook page.

The winning numbers will also be posted on the Facebook page after the drawing.

Each winner will be contacted by phone and will be able to pick up their item on December 11 between the hours of 10 a.m. and 4 p.m. in the back parking lot of Weldon Town Hall.

Those unable to claim the item on December 11 can call the police department at 252-536-3136 to make arrangements.

Any unclaimed items will be raffled again.
