The Roanoke Rapids Police Department is investigating a shooting that occurred at Woodbury Apartments on Georgia Avenue Tuesday around 5 p.m.

The victim, 41-year-old Robbie Jones, was shot in the torso and received medical attention at Vidant North Hospital. 

He was shot by an unidentified male who also robbed him.
