The Halifax County Sheriff’s Office reported the following, according to Captain A.M. Harris:
On Tuesday shortly before 1 p.m. Agent J.H. Bozard was following up on a drug complaint in the Bolling Road area.
Bozard conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle for a violation on West Tenth Street.
During the search, Bozard seized cocaine and drug paraphernalia.
Bozard arrested and charged James Livingston, 27, of Macon, with felony possession of cocaine, maintaining a vehicle/dwelling for a controlled substance and possession of drug paraphernalia.
Livingston received a $2,500 bond with an August 18 court date.
Agent B.J. Murphy assisted.
Mark Hedspeth, 52, of Hertford Street, Weldon surrendered to law enforcement on June 29 for warrants obtained by Agent H.G. Phillips.
On June 24 shortly after 10 a.m. the narcotics division and Weldon Police Department executed a search warrant on Hertford Street.
During the search of the home agents seized several controlled dosage units of alprazolam, amphetamine and clonazepam, methamphetamine, marijuana and several items of drug paraphernalia.
Phillips had obtained warrants for the arrest of Hedspeth for possession of methamphetamine, possession of marijuana, possession of schedule IV controlled substance, maintaining a vehicle/dwelling for a controlled substance, possession of drug paraphernalia and two counts of possession of schedule II controlled substance.
Hedspeth received a $10,000 bond with an August 18 court date.
