First dose COVID-19 Pfizer vaccines will be offered by the Halifax County Health Department to anyone 12 and older by online registration.

The vaccines will be administered at the 700 building of Halifax Community College on May 25 from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. and the same time on June 1.

Second dose Pfizer vaccines will be offered to anyone 12 and older at HCC on June 8 from  noon to 7 p.m.

Use the main college entrance.

Anyone under the age of 18 must be accompanied by a parent or guardian. Appointments are preferred however, walk-ups are accepted.

The health department continues to offer Moderna and Pfizer vaccines every Thursday from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. at its clinic on 19 North Dobbs Street in Halifax.

Friday update

The health department today added five new cases of COVID-19 to its data.

The new positives bring the total since March of last year to 5,622. There have been 112 related deaths.
