The Halifax County Health Department today added 18 new positive cases of COVID-19 to its data.

The new positives bring the cumulative total since March of last year to 5,371. 

Data on recoveries and current cases was not immediately available today. There have been 107 related deaths.

Meanwhile, the health department will offer the Pfizer vaccine to anyone 16 and older through online registration.

The first dose Pfizer vaccine will be given April 22 from 8:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. in the 700 building at Halifax Community College. Use the Country Club entrance to the campus.

Persons under 18 will need parental consent to receive the vaccine.
