Roanoke Rapids police are investigating a Tuesday morning hit and run which left the victim with leg injuries.

Chief Bobby Martin said the victim is in stable condition.

Thus far there are no vehicle descriptions.

Around 2:45 a.m. a vehicle struck the pedestrian on Highway 158 in front of Pizza Hut and McDonald’s. The direction of travel of the vehicle was not immediately known.
