A Roanoke Rapids man was charged on fentanyl and meth-related counts Wednesday night following the execution of a search warrant by the Halifax County Sheriff’s Office in the 300 block of Wendover Lane.
Captain A.M. Harris said in a statement the investigation began after Agent H.G. Phillips received information of possible drug activity at the residence.
Cody Baird, 29, faces charges of felony possession of fentanyl, possession of methamphetamine, possession with intent to sell, deliver and manufacture meth, maintaining a dwelling for a controlled substance and possession of drug paraphernalia.
Around 6 p.m. agents seized several grams of fentanyl and meth and collected a measuring spoon, a dollar bill, digital scale, a silver spoon with cotton in the middle and syringes.
He received a $15,000 bond and February 17 court date.
