The Roanoke Rapids Police Department is investigating the larceny of a 2016 black Cadillac Escalade and a 2016 black Challenger Hellcat from a local car dealership.

Investigator Morgan Worrell said the value of the two vehicles totals more than $100,000.

While she declined to give specifics on how the vehicles were stolen, she said, “the plan to steal the vehicles was well thought out.”

She said it is possible the larceny of the vehicles is linked to similar cases in the state.

The person who stole the vehicles had help and the VINs have been entered into national criminal databases.

In a statement the police department said the two vehicles were stolen from White Motors last Tuesday night around 10.

The person shown in the gallery is directly related to the larcenies. Also included are photos of similar 2016 Hellcats and Escalades.

Worrell is also investigating a larceny which occurred at Hallmark off Premier Boulevard in which three people stole multiple items including fans, a necklace, coffee maker, bag, and an electronic case.

The crime occurred June 19 around 2 p.m. when the three entered the store.
