There is a new sign in Hollister-Essex in Halifax County as of today at the corner of Five Corners Produce Hwy 561 and recognizes Brooke Simpsons.

Thanks to Barry Richardson Director of  NOW-CDC, Inc.(Non-profit organization), Marvlet Lynch, Jr (June), and everyone else that donated to make this possible to acknowledge Hollister Native Brooke (Mills) Simpson. Simpson made national stardom being a finalist on season 13 of the NBC The Voice singing competition television show.

Amelia Kay Oxendine designed the sign.

Simpson who now lives on the West Coast was not able to fly home for the reveal due to transportation restrictions underway. Simpson did join in by Face-time to her Mother and Father Jimille and Mike Mills

Simpson was speechless and overwhelmed by the sign and thanked everyone involved in the project.
