The North Carolina School Boards Association Academy for School Boardsmanship presents certificates annually for successful completion of school board training during the 2018-2019 academy years.  

Roanoke Rapids Graded School District board members received the following certificates:

Tammy Colston received a certificate of merit

Valencia Davis an award of distinction

Michael Salanik the Scholars Circle award.  

The recognition is based on the total number of hours spent in board training with more than 900 hours being the highest.
