The Weldon Police Department reported the following, according to Chief Chris Davis:

On Sunday shortly before 11:30 p.m., Officer T. Revis responded to the 700 block of Maple Street about someone damaging windows in a residence. 

Revis learned Dorothy Taylor, 62, of Weldon, was reportedly responsible for the damage.

Taylor was placed under arrest and taken before a Halifax County magistrate, who charged her  with damage to real property. 

She received a $750 secured bond with a March 3 court date.

On Tuesday shortly after 7:45 p.m., Officer H. Cross was traveling on Highway 158 near Country Club Road when she noticed a vehicle that matched the description of one reported stolen from Northampton County. 

Cross verified it was the stolen vehicle and stopped it in the parking lot of Taco Bell.

Cross identified the driver as Mark Antonio Fields, 27, of Gaston, and the front seat passenger as Ashely Renee Park, 31, of Garysburg. 

Park had an outstanding order for arrest.

Both were placed under arrest and taken before a Halifax County magistrate. 

Fields was charged with possession of a stolen vehicle and received a $2,000 secured bond. He has a March 11 court date.

Park received a $500 secured bond with a February 14 court date for the order for arrest. Officer S. McKimmey, the Roanoke Rapids Police Department and Northampton County Sheriff's Office assisted.
