The Halifax County Sheriff’s Office reported the following:
Drug arrest
Captain A.M. Harris reported this morning shortly after 5 narcotics agents and patrol deputies executed a search warrant at a residence in the 300 block of Deer Run Drive.
The investigation was conducted by Agent C.A. Parker.
During the search of the residence agents seized seven individually wrapped bags of cocaine, marijuana and several items of drug paraphernalia which included a box of sandwich bags, Dutch Master cigars and a digital scale with a white substance which tested positive for the presence of cocaine.
Parker arrested and charged Alphonso Lee Williams Jr., 29, of the residence, for felony possession of cocaine, possession with intent to sell/deliver cocaine, possession of marijuana up to one-half ounce, possession of marijuana paraphernalia, possession of drug paraphernalia and maintaining a vehicle/dwelling for a controlled substance.
Williams received a December 5 court date.

Pound of marijuana
Chief Deputy Scott Hall reported on Friday around 3:30 p.m. Lieutenant John Bozard encountered a dirt bike on Roper Springs Road near Highway 158 in the Littleton community. The dirt bike driver evaded deputies initially, with the operator tossing a book bag containing approximately one pound of marijuana.
Further investigation by Sergeant Roy Ball and Bozard revealed the location of the dirt bike at a residence on Roper Springs Road.
The operator of the dirt bike was determined to be Cory Genus, 29, of Winston-Salem. Bozard arrested and charged Genus with felony possession with intent to sell and deliver marijuana and felony possession of marijuana.
He has a November 7 court date pending. The street value of the marijuana seized was approximately $4,000.
