Here is a list of more Halloween activities scheduled around the Roanoke Valley in addition to the ones previously reported.

The previously reported events are contained at the end of this update.

October 26

The Fraternal Order of the Eagles will host a Halloween Party and Costume Contest beginning at 5 p.m.

October 30

Chick-fil-A in Roanoke Rapids will have a Halloween Bash on October 30 from 5 p.m. to 7p.m.

October 31

Table or treat hosted by Calvary Baptist Church located at 1405 Bolling Road in Roanoke Rapids.

The event is from 5:30 p.m. until the candy runs out and will be held in the church gym.

The Main Street Trick or Treat will be held in Littleton from 5:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m.

Harvest Temple Pentecostal Holiness Church On West Tenth Street is having a Harvest Festival from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. There will be a trunk or treat with games, hot dogs, drinks, and funnel cakes. 

White Motors

White Motors will have a trunk or treat in the Chevy showroom from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m.

The dealership will also have a costume contest with the winners announced at 5 p.m. 

Between now and noon on October 31, visitors to the dealership can come by and guess how many pieces of candy are in the car in the showroom.

The winner will be announced at 3 p.m.

Anyone 10 and under must be accompanied  by an adult or sibling 18 and up.

Previously reported

Night at the Museum on October 25 at 5:30 p.m. at the Roanoke Canal Museum.

The event includes pumpkin carving and campfire hotdogs.

Storytime at the Museum on October 30 from 10:30 a.m. to 11 a.m.

This event includes preschool story reading, costumes and carnival games

Haunted House, Halloween Carnival at T.J. Davis on October 31 from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m.

The haunted house is recommended for ages 12 and older and the carnival is recommended for ages 12 and under.

Trunk or Treat at Doyle Field on October 31 from 5:30 p.m. to 8 p.m.

The event is sponsored by the parks and recreation and police departments.

Halloween Party at Chaloner Recreation Center from 6 p.m. to 8:30 p.m.

There will be food, games and candy.

Roanoke Rapids Public Library invites parents and children up to age 12 to stop by the library anytime between 4:30 p.m. and 6 p.m. on October 31.

Candy will be distributed to children along with the opportunity to participate in a scavenger hunt or complete an activity sheet for prizes.  

Enfield

The Enfield Police Department will host its trunk or treat event from 5:30 p.m. to 8 p.m. on October 31 at the Parks and Rec field on Southeast Railroad Street.

Scotland Neck

Sylvan Heights will hold trick-or-treat with the birds on October 31 from 5 p.m. to 6 p.m.

Costumed characters will be stationed throughout the park handing out candy to trick-or-treaters. There will be Halloween-themed educational activity stations and live animal encounters.

Children must be accompanied by an adult. There is no admission fee for adults accompanying children.

There will be a trunk or treat in Scotland Neck on October 31 from 6 p.m. to 7:30 p.m.

The event will be held at the Town Commons located at 1310 Main Street.

Lakeland Performing Arts Center

The center will host a screening of the 1925 silent film Phantom of the Opera with live organ accompaniment from 7:30 p.m. to 10:30 p.m. on October 25.

Gaston

The town of Gaston will hold a trunk or treat event October 31 beginning  at 6:30 p.m. at Dwight Hall Ball Park.

The event is for children up to 18.

Those participating are encouraged to wear costumes.

There will be free hot dogs, juices and candy.

Gaston Fire-Rescue-EMS will host Halloween at the Firehouse on October 31 from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m.

Toy Story characters will be at the event and there will be treats, a bounce house, giant slide and hayride. There will be carnival games, prizes and emergency response vehicles at the event.

Northampton County

The Northampton County Recreation Department and Cultural and Wellness Center will host an All Hallow’s Eve Spooktacular Kids Night Out from 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. on October 23 at the center located on Highway 305 in Jackson.

There will be a haunted hayride and tricks and treats.

The event is geared for children 12 and younger.

Churches

East Tenth Street Christian Church will hold trick or treat October 31 from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m.

First Christian Church will hold a trunk or treat on October 26 from 4 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. at its property on Highway 125.

Rosemary United Methodist Church on October 27 from 4 p.m. to 6 p.m., the church will hold a fall festival in the fellowship hall.

There will be games, food and candy.

Valley Community Church in Weldon will hold its annual trunk or treat October 31 from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. at the church. The Weldon Police Department is partnering with the church.
