Four juveniles in two different cases have been served petitions, according to Roanoke Rapids police.

They have been taken into custody at a detention center in Greenville, Captain Andy Jackson said this morning.

Three juvenile boys, all 14, were served petitions for two counts of burning personal property and two counts of setting fire to grass and brush.

The fires included a clothing donation box near McDonald's the evening of October 27. A dumpster at Food Lion was also set fire to as well as leaves and other debris on Jackson Street Extension and Preston Street.

In the other case, a juvenile was served with petitions for breaking, entering and larceny in a case on West Eighth Street in which $500 in cash was taken from a house. An adult was also arrested. The juvenile in that case is a 14-year-old boy.
