An Enfield man was charged Sunday morning with second degree rape, according to the Halifax County Sheriff's Office.
Detective J. Puhak said the sheriff's office received a call in the Beaver Dam Road area of Enfield around 2 a.m. about a rape allegation.
The sheriff's office charged Dennis Junior Silver, 45.
He was jailed on $100,000 bond and has an October 19 court date.
