A Hollister man who remained on the lam for two months following an April breaking and entering was arrested Thursday in Warren County.
Detective J. Puhak of the Halifax County Sheriff's Office said Jamie Christopher “Stookie” Richardson was charged with felony breaking and entering, felony larceny and two unrelated orders for arrest.
The 33-year-old man was jailed on $40,000 bond and has a June 27 court date.
Puhak said on April 11, Deputy B.K. Knight took a report of a breaking and entering with larceny within the Saponi Drive community.
Knight conducted thorough follow-up interviews and an area canvas with the help of Deputy O. Wiltsie and Puhak.
Through the investigative efforts warrants were obtained on April 26 for Richardson's arrest.
Richardson remained in hiding when Knight received information that he was at an undisclosed location in Warren County.
With the help of the Warren County Sheriff’s Office, Richardson was apprehended without further incident.
