A Scotland Neck man was arrested on crack and marijuana charges Tuesday following execution of a search warrant by the Halifax County Sheriff's Office.
Lieutenant Scott Hall said narcotics investigators arrested Monte Larrell Hines, 21, at his Poplar Street residence.
Agents A.M. Harris and T.A. Harris responded to citizen complaints and began an investigation on Hines.
Agents and uniformed deputies made a search of Hines' home and found 46 crack rocks and 16 bags of marijuana packaged and ready for sale.
Hines was arrested and placed into the Halifax County jail under a $10,000 secured bond.
His first court appearance is scheduled for September 7 where he faces charges of possession with intent to sell and deliver cocaine, possession with the intent to sell and deliver marijuana and maintaining a dwelling to store a controlled substance.
Lieutenant George Evans and deputies W. Murphy and C. Griffin assisted in the arrest of Hines.
