An Enfield man was arrested for crack possession Saturday night following an area patrol by the Halifax Couty Sheriff's Office.

Detective J. Puhak said at approximately 9 p.m. Deputy O. Wiltsie noticed a vehicle infraction in the area of Beaverdam Road near Christmas Drive in the Enfield community.

The resulting investigation led to the discovery of 1 gram of crack cocaine and a verbal warning to Calvin Earl McGee, 44, about the vehicle infraction.

McGee was charged with felony possession of cocaine and jailed on $5,000 bond.

He has a July 20 court date.
