On March 29, Detective S.A. Bryant of the Halifax County Sheriff’s Office received a report of a breaking and entering in the area of the 1000 block of Elm Street in Weldon.

The victim stated he was missing several cases of beer and his cellular phone.

Continued investigation led to the phone being located and returned to the victim.

Bryant charged and arrested Anthony Jerome Gray with felony breaking and entering, felony larceny, felony possession of stolen goods and injury to real property.

Gray received a $20,000 bond and awaits an April 17 court date.
