Enfield stop
On Saturday shortly after 11 a.m. Deputy J. Velez was in the area of Highway 301 working traffic when he stopped a vehicle on East Alsop Street for a motor vehicle violation.
He talked to the driver identified as Jarnez Hill, 29, and the front seat passenger Tony Hill Jr., 29, both of Enfield. It was not immediately clear whether the two are related.

During the stop, Jarnez was asked about any guns or drugs in the vehicle and, according to Harris, admitted there were both in the vehicle.
A pistol was located under the front passenger seat and another pistol and several grams of marijuana were located near the gear shift.
A criminal records check of Tony showed he is a convicted felon and not permitted to possess a firearm. A warrant check was conducted on both and Jarnez had an outstanding order for arrest for assault on a female.
Tony was arrested and charged with possession of a firearm by a felon and carrying a concealed gun.
Jarnez Hill was arrested and charged with possession of marijuana up to one-half ounce, carrying a concealed gun and also served with the outstanding order for arrest.
Tony received a $9,500 secured bond and March 27 district court date.
Jarnez was jailed without the opportunity for bond and has a March 12 district court date.
