A man wanted on outstanding warrants remains in the Halifax County Detention Center after he was found hiding under a bed Monday with help from another man.
The man who was the target of the outstanding warrants, Terrace Lloyd, 33, of the Shields Commissary Road area of Scotland Neck, ran from officers into a wooded area, according to Major Anzell Harris of the Halifax County Sheriff’s Office.
Deputies searched the wooded area but were unable to locate Lloyd.
Deputies went to the residence later and conducted a search. Lloyd was arrested by Corporal G. Caine and Deputy L. Batchelor for the outstanding warrants and also charged with resist, delay and obstruct. The outstanding warrants were for flee/elude arrest with a motor vehicle, possession of drug paraphernalia, and felony probation violation out of county.

He received a $161,001 secured bond along with a $75,000 cash bond for the probation violation. Three holds from Edgecombe County were also placed on him.
Meanwhile, Keonte Bryant, 27, of the 100 block of Shields Commissary Road was arrested and charged by Community Action Team Sergeant G. Martin for felony aid and abet and resisting a public officer for hiding Lloyd inside the home to escape being served with the outstanding warrants.
Bryant received a $5,000 bond.
Both men have February 27 district court dates.
