A Halifax County School system educator is among the North Carolina Council for Exceptional Children’s 2025 award recipients.
The award received by Srinivas Pannela honors outstanding leaders, educators, and advocates in the field of special education, the organization said. “These individuals have demonstrated unwavering dedication to advancing educational equity, fostering inclusion, and improving outcomes for students with disabilities across North Carolina.The NC CEC Instructional Support Professional Award recognizes individuals who provide vital instructional support for students with disabilities.”
Pannela, the organization said, has played an instrumental role in supporting students’ academic and social development.
“We are extremely proud of Mr. Pannela and this well-deserved recognition,” said Superintendent Eric Cunningham. “His dedication to supporting our students is an inspiration to us all, and his contributions continue to make a meaningful difference in the lives of our students and their families.”
