Roanoke Valley law enforcement reported the following:
Roanoke Rapids City Council Tuesday approved a spending plan for a $3.5 million allocation which was appropriated to the city in the state budget.
More information on the status of the Roanoke Rapids Theatre loan agreement is expected to be forthcoming by the council’s next meeting, the panel was told Tuesday night.
Roanoke Rapids Graded School District Interim Superintendent Julie Thompson will become the district’s new superintendent beginning March 1.
