A Halifax County jury Wednesday found a Roanoke Rapids man not guilty of stabbing a victim to death in July of 2020.
A Pennsylvania couple face opium trafficking charges following an investigation Wednesday by the Roanoke Rapids Police Department.
A person who made threatening remarks on social media concerning this weekend’s Haliwa-Saponi Pow Wow was contacted by the Halifax County Sheriff’s Office which “sought proper resources” for the individual.
One man was cited for traffic infractions Wednesday and another for possessing a stolen firearm as well as several outstanding warrants, the Halifax County Sheriff’s Office reported.
