While the NC Bourbon & Spirits Festival enters its second year Saturday, Weldon Mills Distillery is now in what is considered to be its third year of producing award-winning whiskeys and other spirits after the COVID-19 pandemic struck a blow to area businesses.
In planning this year’s second NC Bourbon & Spirits Festival, organizers took lessons learned from the last one, said Bruce Tyler of Weldon Mills Distillery.
The Roanoke Rapids Police Department reported the following, according to Chief Shane Guyant:

On Friday Roanoke Rapids police Officer W. Plyler responded to a larceny call at a business in the 1800 block of East Tenth Street.
