The Halifax Community College Board of Trustees recognized Representative Michael H. Wray for what the institution described as exceptional dedication, leadership, and advocacy for education, workforce development, and community advancement.
Trustees presented Wray with a resolution and a plaque commemorating his years of service to the state of North Carolina and the local community.
Expressions of appreciation were extended by the board and HCC President Patrena B. Elliott.
“The resolution highlighted Representative Wray’s tireless commitment to enhancing the lives of North Carolinians, particularly in District 27 and surrounding areas,” the college said. “His efforts have significantly strengthened Halifax Community College’s ability to provide vital educational and economic opportunities.”
Through his advocacy, the college said, “Representative Wray championed fiscal resources that have been instrumental in supporting the college’s infrastructure and promoting access to quality education.”
