Halifax Community College will host the 2025 Progressive Community Awards on April 24 at 6 p.m. in the Dr. Ervin V. Griffin Sr. Centre. 

The event is a celebration of individuals who make a positive difference in the Roanoke Valley. The nomination period ends April 11.

To nominate someone for the award, nominators must submit a form that includes a statement that corresponds to one of the nomination categories. The award categories are the Business Impact Award, Youth Leader Award, and Community Bridge Builder Award.

The statement should include specific examples that demonstrate the nominee’s commitment and unique contributions to the Roanoke Valley. 

Any citizen in the Roanoke Valley is eligible to be considered for this nomination. Self-nominations are acceptable. The limit is one nomination per submission.
