For utility contractors to make connections to the Halifax County Water System as part of the Weldon High School/Middle School construction project, there will be a six- to eight-hour planned outage impacting water customers on Snead Street and along County Road in Weldon on Wednesday beginning at approximately 9 a.m.

Halifax County Public Utilities Director Chris Williams said, “We apologize for any inconvenience created by this interruption of service, but this planned outage is necessary to facilitate the growth and expansion of the Weldon High School and middle school project. Service will be restored as soon as possible.”
