Firefighter Applicant Pool (Roanoke Rapids Fire Department)
Applications from which periodic selections will be made as positions become available.
Desired qualifications:
* Must have High School Diploma or GED
* Preferred NC Firefighter II (but not required)
* Must be able to obtain a North Carolina or Virginia Class B driver’s license within 90 days of employment

* Must be of good character, be in good physical condition, and pass a drug test and background check

An employee in this class performs a full range of general law enforcement duties to protect life and property in the City. Basic Law Enforcement Training is preferred but not required. (Open Until Filled)

MUNICIPAL OFFICES CLOSED/TRASH COLLECTION:
Municipal Offices will be closed on Monday, January 20, 2020 in observance of Martin Luther King Jr. Day. Trash collection routes for Monday will be collected Wednesday, January 22nd.
