CITY COUNCIL BUDGET HEARING

Notice is hereby given that the City Manager to the Roanoke Rapids City Council submitted the proposed FY 2025-2026 (FY26) Budget during the May 29, 2025, Special City Council Meeting. A Public Hearing for the proposed budget will be held by the City Council during its Regular Meeting on Tuesday, June 17, 2025, at 5:30 p.m., in the Lloyd Andrews City Meeting Hall, 700 Jackson St., Roanoke Rapids, NC. Citizens may attend and are invited to offer written or oral comments. Changes in the revenue and expenditure estimates may occur prior to the public hearing. The City of Roanoke Rapids will provide reasonable accommodations for any disabled person(s) wishing to attend. To make this request, contact the City Clerk’s Office at least 3 days prior to the meeting by calling 252-533-2840. 

This proposed FY 2025-2026 Budget may be inspected or purchased at J. Reuben Daniel City Hall, 1040 Roanoke Ave., Roanoke Rapids, NC, Monday through Friday from 8:30 a.m. until 5:00 p.m., or viewed online at this link

LEVY OF TAXES: The proposed budget includes a net tax rate of $.641 per One Hundred Dollars ($100) valuation.  [NOTE: includes the Ad Valorem $.01 tax for Roanoke Valley Rescue Squad.]
