Several area schools exceeded expected growth, according to state Accountability and Testing results released today.
Overall, 75 percent of the schools in the in the Roanoke Rapids Graded School District met or exceeded academic growth for 2013-14 and all schools exhibited improvement.
The composite test score for Halifax County Schools rose nine percentage points for the 2013-14 school year – from 17.1 percent last year to 26.3 percent this year of students meeting or exceeding grade-level proficiency.
