A 24-year-old  Littleton man was charged this morning in the armed robbery of Sheetz.

Roanoke Rapids police Chief Chuck Hasty said in a statement a 12-year-old juvenile was also charged.

Hasty said the relationship between the juvenile and the man arrested, Antwan Harvey, was not immediately clear.

Harvey was arrested around 1 this morning and charged with robbery with a dangerous weapon, conspiracy and contributing to the delinquency of a minor.

He received a $50,000 bond and a June 6 court date.

The male juvenile was taken into custody for robbery with a dangerous weapon, conspiracy and assault by pointing a gun.

The juvenile was taken into secure custody and transported to a juvenile holding facility in another jurisdiction.

A handgun was found in the possession of the juvenile when he was taken into custody.

The investigation is ongoing and more charges are expected.

The robbery occurred around 1 a.m. Saturday when Sheetz staff reported a man entered the store with a gun and demanded money from the cashier.

The clerk complied and the man fled the store.
