RRPD seeks assistance in two cases

The Roanoke Rapids Police Department is seeking the public’s help in two cases.

Both of them involve crimes at Walmart, Chief Chuck Hasty said.
Crimestoppers may be contacted in all these cases at 252-583-4444 or the investigators looking into the crimes whose numbers are attached at the end of each account.

Walmart theft

The first case involves a person stealing beer from Walmart Thursday around 1 p.m.
Anyone with information is encouraged to contact Captain Bobby Martin at 252-533-2820.

Walmart damage

The police department is currently investigating a case involving damage to a cash register and scanner by the store’s garden section.
The crime occurred last Friday shortly after 7:30 p.m.
The suspect left on a light-colored Chevy sport utility vehicle.
