The Roanoke Rapids Police Department reported the following, according to Chief Chuck Hasty:

Friday December 16, 2016

• Alexander Monroe Hester, 39, of Roanoke Rapids, was cited at approximately 11:30 a.m. for possession of drug paraphernalia.
He was released until his February 13 court date.
Officer P. Smith responded to a residence in the 1300 block of Pruden Street about a domestic violence order service and found Hester in possession of the paraphernalia.

• Antonio Maurice Story, 31, of Weldon, was arrested at approximately 10 p.m. for being a fugitive from justice.
He received a $40,000 bond and January 4 court date.
Officer A. Green conducted a traffic stop for a violation on Old Farm Road and discovered Story was wanted by the Commonwealth of Virginia for a probation violation.
Officer C. Fortier assisted.

Saturday December 17, 2016

• John Tyler Pierce, 19, of Roanoke Rapids, was cited at approximately 10:30 p.m. for possession of marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia.
He was released until his January 23 court date.
Sergeant M. Moseley conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle for suspicious activity on West Fifth Street and found Pierce in possession of narcotics and paraphernalia.
Master Officer A. Salmon assisted.

• Kenneth Donald Grier III, 23, of Roanoke Rapids, was arrested and charged at approximately 10:30 p.m. for driving while impaired, driving while license revoked and speeding.
He received a $1,000 bond and a February 13 court date.
Green conducted a traffic stop for a violation on East Tenth Street and determined Grier was impaired and his license was revoked.

Sunday December 19, 2016

• Tom Lee Price, 43, of Roanoke Rapids, was arrested and charged at approximately 9:30 a.m. for trespassing.
He received a $500 bond and February 24 court date.
Officer R. Cross responded to New Dixie Mart on Roanoke Avenue about Price being on the property after being told not to do so.

• Zabriel Maurice Johnson, 23, of Roanoke Rapids, was arrested and charged at approximately 9 p.m. for driving while license revoked, possession of cocaine, possession of drug paraphernalia, possession with intent to sell and deliver schedule II and maintaining a vehicle for controlled substance.
He received a $7,500 bond and February 1 court date.
Green conducted a traffic stop for a violation on Highway 125 and discovered tJohnson’s license was revoked. He was also found in possession of narcotics and paraphernalia.
Lieutenant J. Baggett and Moseley assisted.

• Joshua Dwayne Williams, 29, of Roanoke Rapids, was arrested at approximately 9 p.m. on outstanding warrants for burglary, larceny after breaking and entering, larceny of a firearm, possession of a stolen firearm and two counts of injury to property.
He received a $7,500 bond and December 28 court date.
Fortier arrested Williams at his residence without trouble.
The charges stem from an investigation by Halifax County Sheriff’s Office Detective R.M. Brown.
Salmon and Officer G. Colson assisted.
