Weldon police blotter: June 14-22, 2016

The Weldon Police Department reported the following:

Tuesday June 14, 2016
At approximately 5:05n p.m., Officer Michael Sledge had an order for arrest near the department.
Tinerah Monique Pierce, 23, of Halifax, was charged with possession of marijuana. In addition, Pierce had a charge for contempt of court, perjury and violations.
She received a $600 bond.
Friday June 17, 2016
At approximately 2:10 p.m., Sledge was conducting a traffic stop in the 200 block of Washington Avenue. Thomas Wayne Martin, 25, of Halifax, was arrested for driving while license revoked. He received a $500 bond and August 8 court date.
Saturday June 18, 2016
At approximately 2:52 a.m., Officer Noland Coles was clearing an overcrowded parking lot at Waffle House. Forest Garner, 30, of Roanoke Rapids, was arrested and charged with liquor law violations. He received a $200 bond and August 10 court date.
Officer William Wheeler assisted.
Sunday June 19, 2016
At approximately 3:45 a.m., Sergeant Thomas Mason answered a call near Miracle Tabernacle Church.
Raheem Jamal Belfield, 24, of Roanoke Rapids, was charged with driving while license revoked. He received a $3,000 bond.

Monday June 20, 2016
At approximately 9:46 a.m., Deputy Chief James Avens conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle for speeding.
Gennett Anderson Dunn, 54, of Weldon, could not present proper registration for the vehicle and Avens requested assistance.
When they began to search the car, Avens discovered a green leafy vegetable substance in a plastic bag. Avens called for a canine to assist with the search and drug substances were confirmed.
Dunn was cited for speeding and possession of marijuana. She was released with an August 8 court date.
Weldon Officer Quintin Godley and Sergeant M. Brown of the Halifax County Sheriff’s Office assisted.
Wednesday June 22, 2016
At approximately 11:51 a.m., Mason made an arrest in the 100 block of Washington Avenue. Dazelia Bradley Woodruff, 60, of Roanoke Rapids was charged with filing a false police report. She received a $2,300 bond and July 15 court date.
At approximately 3:36 p.m., Mason served an order for arrest in the 100 block of Washington Avenue.
Tashawn Lamarte Harvey, 22, of Littleton had three charges of contempt of court, perjury and court violations. He received a $300 bond.
Lieutenant Chris Davis assisted.
At approximately 5:47 p.m., Mason responded to a call from Family Fare where Eliza Howell Taylor, 55, of Weldon, was charged with misuse of the 911 system.
She received a $300 bond and July 11 court date.
At approximately 9:42 p.m., Sledge conducted a traffic stop.
Kenya Cominique Mills, 23, of Roanoke Rapids, was charged with driving while license revoked. She received a $1,000 bond and September 9 court date.
