The Roanoke Rapids High School Varsity Lady Jackets softball team opened their 2019 season off Tuesday with a conference win on the road at Granville Central with their new Head coach Jimmy Powers.

Roanoke Rapids beat Granville Central 14-4 with the game ending early due to the 10 run slaughter rule.

The Lady Jackets had 18 hits total.

Meredith Wilson was 3-4, 3 singles, BB,

Abbi Carpenter was 3-4, single, 2 doubles,

Makayla Pair 1-3,single, hbp,

Lily Curtis 2-3,single, triple, hbp,

Cassidy Dickens 3-3, 3 singles, BB,

Karlee Hammack 2-3, single and a double,

Taylor Wade 2-3, single and a double,

Lizzie Colston 1-3,single, Hannah Taylor 1-1, single,

Caitlin Bobbitt had 2 stolen bases.

 

Cassidy Dickens pitched 6 innings with 3k’s, 2BB, 6 hits and 1 earned run for the Lady Jackets.
