The Roanoke Rapids High School JV and Varsity baseball teams traveled to Battle the Northern Nash Knoghts Tuesday.
 
The Varsity Baseball team had another come from behind conference win on Tuesday night as they pulled out a 10-9 win on the road at Northern Nash. 
 
Trailing 5-0 after 3 innings, the Yellow Jackets tied the game up in the top of the 4th.  The big hit in the inning was a 3 run homerun off the bat of Ayden Brantley.  The game was a back and forth battle for the rest of the contest.  With the score tied at 8 heading to the top of the 7th inning RRHS got a 2 RBI single from Landen Briggs to take the lead for good. 
 
Gannon Deberry started on the mound and pitched 4 strong innings.  Ayden Brantley got the win in relief pitching the final 3 innings.  Leading hitters for the Yellow Jackets were Maddox Bullock, Carson Duncan, Tyler Pearce, and Landen Briggs who each had 2 hits.  Shep Fowler, Collin Elias, and Ayden Brantley all had one hit apiece.  
 
RRHS is now 4-0 on the season and 2-0 in the conference.  Their next game is at home on Thursday night against Northern Nash. The JV game will start at 4pm with the Varsity game to follow.
 
In the earlier JV game, RRHS defeated Northern Nash by a score of 16-3.  The Yellow Jackets got strong pitching from Montreal Ham and Bryce Manning. Collecting hits for RRHS were Bryce Manning, RJ Williams, Wes Jenkins, Connor Melson, Montreal Ham, and Dylan Dixon.
