No charges in missing tractor case

The case of a tractor that was reported missing at the end of July came down to a communication breakdown and no charges will be filed, the detective with the Halifax County Sheriff's Office investigating the matter said today.

An effort to check the compliance of Halifax County's 114 registered sex offenders in a single day led to the verification of 102.
