The last person wanted in the September 24 murder of Wilton Cotton was returned to Halifax County today.
Quandre Alston, a 20-year-old Weldon man, is currently in custody in Baltimore, and waiting extradition proceedings in the shooting death of Wilton Cotton, a murder arrest warrants say was over $595.33 in currency and one ounce of marijuana.
One of the men charged in the Wilton Cotton murder faces new charges unrelated to the slaying that occurred on Gordon Drive the afternoon of September 24.
As Roanoke Rapids police try to reel in the seventh person wanted in the murder of Wilton Cotton and the shooting of Richard Squire Jr. they say drugs were the target and robbery the motive.
