Prior to joining KapStone, Upton served as an air coordinator/supervisor at Evergreen Packaging in Canton and previously as an environmental monitoring engineer.
He has served in capacities at SynTerra, LINPAC Paper (Cowpens), Xerox Corporation and MeadWestvaco Corporation.
He earned a bachelor of science degree in paper science and engineering from SUNY College of Environmental Science and Forestry in Syracuse, New York. Additionally, he holds an associate’s degree from Broome Community College, Binghamton, New York. He and his wife, Melissa, recently relocated to Roanoke Rapids along with their three children, Myles, Claire and Titus.
